In a large bowl combine the ground chuck with garlic, salt, pepper and 1/3 c of jam. Divide into six equal portions, then pat each portion into a patty. Grill the burgers turning once until cooked to your liking. Place the buns on the grill until toasted. Assemble the burgers with lettuce, tomato, bacon and then top with Emily G's Tipsy Onion.
